Where to start? My girl, Jinxie, is a game bred American Pit Bull Terrier. She has a high prey drive and was very dog reactive. She is also insecure and, as she started to hit maturity, her reactivity toward other animals was worsening. She would lunge at other dogs and take off after anything that moved. Cats, squirrels, You name it, she went after it. I finally decided I needed professional help. I also decided that the problem was largely me and I was the one who needed the training. Enter Val and Desi. They are true artists of their craft. I decided to do the 4 week board and train and it was, without a doubt, the best money I've ever spent. My girl is doing beautifully and is so much less stressed. Instead of reacting to other dogs, she looks to me for guidance and holds her heel without missing a beat. I went from being the human who dreaded the thought of running into other dogs on walks or outings to being the person who sees every interaction with other animals as an opportunity for us to practice our skills. I'm so, so grateful to these folks. They completely changed everything for us. They gave us a quality of life we never would have had and, because of that, they are family.
